is not my first Leesa mattress. I started with the most basic level mattress nearly a decade ago. After 5 years in storage then 5 years of heavy use and an aging/changing body I needed more than just the basic level mattress. I didn't even look anywhere else but Leesa. in mind that mattress comfort is very subjective. 140lbs and a Side Sleeper. There is not enough give for pressure relief. I have side pain after a short period of time and back pain in the morning. Back pain that I have not felt in 20 years. I was hoping to find something better then what I had. But, I'm probably going back to my previous manufacture. As to the cooling, the mattress does feel cool unless you cover it with a mattress protector. I tried a highly rated "breathable" waterproof protector and the bed slept hot. It was suggested that I purchase the Leesa cooling mattress protector for an additional $300. Seems crazy since I purchased the chill version for that very reason. One extra star because it seems really well made

The support for side sleeping is the best we’ve experienced; back sleeping is great, too. Our age and some physical issues make both important to us. Isolation of movement and the size of it are the surprise bonuses. It’s not hot (important in Southern CA and to hot sleepers like me). Really happy with this purchase, AND with Leesa’s service…we needed help, and Leesa was there for us. Thank you!
