you want a backpack that looks like it could be used as a tote then this bag is for you. If you want one that can actually be used as a tote don’t buy this one. The straps are too short to put on your shoulder without using your other hand. The only time I want to use this as a tote is when I have stuff in my other hand. I had a backpack/tote of a different brand for years that I loved. Very disappointed with this one. I have been using this for over a year and I’m still disappointed
