Comfortable sneaker with medium-width fit
me finding the correct size is more about the width than the length of a shoe. I wear quite a lot of TOMS styles, and while the classic Alpargata is too narrow for me, the new Cabrillo is a snug but comfortable fit. I've had TOMS sneakers in the past that were wider than this shoe, so I would probably put this shoe as a bit above average when it comes to width. These shoes come with no-tie laces in the shoes and regular laces in the box. The no-tie laces stretch quite a bit and completely change the wearing experience. I personally really like it as it puts less pressure on your feet, but for some they might not be tight enough. Fortunately, you can adjust the no-tie laces by making a tighter knot, or replace them with the normal laces if you want a snug fit. Tip: while there is a badge on the shoe stating you need to "cut" the no-tie laces, you can simply untie them and replace them with the regular laces. That way you can switch back and forth. No need to destroy the no-tie laces at all!
Flexible shoe, flexible fit
this new version of the Cabrillo. It's very comfortable. The shoe came with the no-tie laces in the shoes, and a separate set of normal laces. We found that the women's no-tie laces are loose and needed to be tightened and shortened. After adjusting the no-tie laces the fit was great, similar to regular laces. Without this adjustment to the laces the shoes feel too large, afterwards: perfectly happy with the fit. Tip: while there is a badge on the shoe stating you need to "cut" the no-tie laces, you can simply untie them and replace them with the regular laces. That way you can switch back and forth. No need to destroy the no-tie laces at all!
