took me three pairs of Alpargatas to get a pair to fit, though I've bought Toms size 8. 5 several times before. I gave away 2 pair of 8. 5s to a friend who wears 9s, and these 8s fit. They're looser than my old classic Toms, though, and I need to stretch out the top. The elastic V is still too tight for my high arches. I'm making these work, but I'm disappointed. I need to order only the classic version, I think, if I can figure out what that is. Love the color, though
