I have long curly (4a) hair and I use A LOT of product to style my wash and gos. I initially tried co-washing and other soft cleansers, but it would take multiple washes to actually clean my hair and scalp. I then tried other clarifying shampoos, but found that those dried my hair out too much. Then I switched to this shampoo and it is perfect. I use about one and a half pumps for one half of my head and it gets my scalp and hair squeaky clean with minimal effort. Though Moroccanoil is a more expensive brand it is worth it because one liter will last me about a year (washing my hair every 1-2 weeks) and I'm spending less time in the shower scrubbing my scalp. I follow this shampoo with the curl enhancing conditioner and the combination is the best way to start my wash day
